This is Weird
Demonic Toys begins with a police stakeout connected to criminals hiding out in an old warehouse district on Christmas Eve. After a violent confrontation goes sideways, several people — including cops, crooks, and civilians — end up trapped inside a massive abandoned toy warehouse during the night.
At first, it seems like survival is only going to depend on avoiding each other. But strange things begin happening inside the building. The warehouse has a dark history, and before long, the toys stored there begin coming alive in sinister ways.
As the night spirals deeper into chaos, the group realizes the toys aren’t just malfunctioning machines or pranks — something genuinely evil is controlling them. The survivors must figure out what’s happening inside the warehouse and how to escape before the murderous toys pick them off one by one.
The movie mixes horror, dark humor, and that gritty early-1990s direct-to-video atmosphere. Think flashing warehouse lights, creepy toy aisles, sarcastic dialogue, and tiny monsters causing outsized trouble. It never takes itself too seriously, which is part of why people still remember it.
