Not A Bad Sci-Fi
Starman is not all that bad of a science fiction film. The story is entertaining enough for sci-fi film enthusiasts with a little bit of romance mixed into the story. It is a drama (dramedy) that has some funny stuff in it as the Starman (Bridges) meets people and learns more about planet earth.
This is another one of my childhood sci-fi flicks that I enjoyed as a young teen and the film is still fairly good to me as an adult.
If you like this movie you might like similar films: 'Enemy Mine', 'The Last Starfighter', 'Dune', 'Tron' or 'E.T. the Extraterrestrial'.
