Fun Comedy Classic
John Candy is Chet Ripley and Dan Aykroyd is his cousin Roman Craig. Chet takes his family to a cabin on the lake in the woods so he can get closer to his sons and wife in The Great Outdoors. Roman and his family secretly follow the Ripley family and give the a huge surprise. Roman is actually broke and tries to con his cousin Chet out of some money - but Roman becomes honest in the end. There are some crazy stories the men tell their families and some insane outdoor adventures. Naturally Candy and Aykroyd steals the show.
The film isn't quite as funny as you'd imagine but it is a fun watch.
