Tickle Me (1965)

Average Elvis Film

Average Elvis film at best. The story is flimsy but casting fine. Few pretty good songs. I found the first and second acts just okay, the third act is the best because I liked the haunted house part of the film. In fact, it would have been a better film if the entire story was Elvis and gang in the ghost town.

Elvis is Lonnie Beale, an out of work rodeo star who takes a job at a ranch and health spa for women. Naturally Lonnie has lots of talents as with many other of Elvis' characters. Lonnie falls in love with Pam and Pam tries to stay away from him but in the end she's in his arms forever. Pam is also heir to a fortune hidden on the ranch and there is a gang after the money.

This isn't a horrible film but it's just not one of Elvis' better films.

5/10
