Savan is the son of Uri. Uri taught created a "yellow powder" cure for a disease that leaves people as cannibalistic savages (almost Orc-like). Uri died but did teach his son to read. Now it is up to Savan to create more of the yellow powder to help those uninfected or those in the early stages of the infection (before it's too late).

Fun movie - one of the better modern Sy-Fy films. I enjoyed it!
