Super Documentary
"Dracula, the Great Undead" AKA "Vincent Price's Dracula" (1982)
What is more wonderful than the storytelling voice and presence of Vincent Price plus the history of Dracula? Not much more - the two blend together perfectly well.
Price takes up back, way back, to the time of Vlad Tepes - the real Dracula. He tells us his tale and how it relates to the films and books of today about the famous Count. He goes deeper into Romanian priest hood, myths, legends and superstitions to give us are real sense of modern day Romanian beliefs and practices concerning Vampires and how that directly relates back to Vlad the Impaler.
It's really fine documentary and would be a great companion to "Vem var Dracula?" AKA "In Search of Dracula" hosted by Christopher Lee.
9.5/10
