A Fun Stupid Lizard Bird Film
Monster from a Prehistoric Planet (a.k.a. Daikyoju Gappa/Gappa the Triphibian Monsters) is a fairly fun film. We all know not to expect to much from a film like this. Just do not go into watching it with high hopes of thinking this movie is going to be as good as the "Godzilla" franchise because it is not.
The movie really is not all that bad for the type of film it is... but it does lack the glamor and appeal of the iconic monster "Godzilla". These Gappas or "stupid lizard birds" (to quote the film) are more like "Godzilla" on a mild day - they cannot hold a candle to the beloved "Godzilla".
If you do decide to watch this film, just watch it for joy/pleasure - to relax and watch some mindless fun nonsense.
