Cute Adventure
Tarzan Finds a Son! (1939) is the fourth film in the MGM Tarzan series and marks a big turning point in the saga. It’s still got all the jungle action, wild animal encounters, and vine-swinging drama, but this time, it brings in a new element: family.
Without giving anything away, let’s just say Tarzan and Jane’s quiet life gets... disrupted. There’s a new presence in their world—one that changes everything. This film introduces a character who would become a major part of the Tarzan mythos from here on out.
It still has that romantic, untamed spirit of the earlier films, but with a more emotional layer and a stronger focus on loyalty, protection, and belonging. Plus, you still get the trademark lush jungle sets, animal scenes, and danger around every corner.
It’s Tarzan and Jane as you know them—only now they’ve got more than just each other to think about. It’s a solid entry with heart and just the right mix of pulp, charm, and adventure.
8.5/10
