Superb Remake by Hitchcock Himself!
This is definitely a superb remake by Alfred Hitchcock himself! He was dissatisfied with his 1934 take. I like the 1956 only slightly better than the original.
Dr. Ben McKenna (James Stewart), his wife Jo (Doris Day), and their young son Hank are vacationing in Morocco when they befriend a mysterious Frenchman named Louis Bernard. When Bernard is murdered in public, he whispers a cryptic warning to Ben just before dying—something about a political assassination set to take place in London.
Before they can piece together what it means, Hank is kidnapped to ensure the couple stays silent. Ben and Jo travel to London, desperately trying to unravel the mystery and rescue their son, while racing against time to prevent the assassination.
Great late night film!
