A Ghost Story Fairy-tale
If you have seen Cat People (1942) and this watch Curse of the Cat People (1944) you will know that the two films are nothing alike. This 2nd film is a ghost story - the story of a little girl named Amy who befriends the ghost of Irene (the Cat Woman from the 1st film).
This 2nd film is very fairy-tale like - its' a fairy-tale ghost story! Irene is not a scary ghost but a very nice ghost who befriends Amy (the little girl).
Amy is the child of Oliver (Irene's ex-husband) and his 2nd wife, Alice. Amy lives in a dream world - befriending animals and flowers over other children. When Amy befriends Irene - her young life becomes more fairy-tale like.
Interesting film.
