Solid Viking Film
I believe the film holds up well - even by today's standards. There are no CGI generated armies or fight scenes in this one... instead we have great stunt work by real men. Brutal fight sequences that equal today's films.
The acting is solid by a star studded cast. The quality of the film is superb - beautiful color and great cinematography. The score is sometimes haunting.
The tension that is built between the characters feels authentic. The assult on the castle is near the end is a site to behold. The marching sound of the men is scary.
Great film experience! Recommned to thouse interested in Vikings/Norse and to those that like history films.
