Great Disaster Flick!
I was born the year 'The Poseidon Adventure' hit theaters. I didn't get to see it until the late 70s when it aired on the television. With that being said, this film brings back good childhood memories. I remember being so scared for the people and my parents trying to explain to me they are only acting out the parts - they aren't going to drown! Haha. Great stuff!
Today, the film is a comfort movie for me - much like comfort food.
Super good all-star cast - well casted. The special effects still hold up today.
As far as being dated, it is a bit dated but that is the charm of the film for me. Give it 50 years and today's films will be dated too.
