Not As Good As The First Film
In this installment of the Percy Jackson franchise we learn Percy has a half-brother named Tyson - a cyclops. Naturally Percy, Tyson, Grover and Annabeth has to 'save the day' or rather 'save the Half-blood Camp'. Here our group is after the Golden Fleece (see: Jason and the Argonauts). Luke is back in his quest to to overturn the Olympians.
Our film was fine this time around but doesn't have power and comedy of the first film. I believe the first Jackson film has a better story, better comedy and special effects. This 2nd film isn't horrible but feels weak by comparison.
Not a bad lazy afternoon film but don't expect it to be as much fun as The Lightning Thief.
