Stay Away From This Film
Joe Lightcloud (Elvis) has returned home from the rodeo and made a deal with the U. S. government - if he and his family can successfully raise cattle then the government will help the Navajo nation.
This is suppose to be a slap-stick comedy but it's more like a slap-stick modern day flop.
Burgess Meredith as Charlie Lightcloud is a joke! He's in red-face make-up and makes a terrible onscreen Navajo. It's bad enough for Elvis and other cast members portraying Native American's in red-face but Burgess?!
Katy Jurado (Annie Lightcloud in the film) mixes up her accents from Italian to Spanish half the time.
Only ONE good thing in this film - the scene and song All I Needed Was the Rain . Elvis and those dogs in the rain was funny. The rest of the movie should be burned.
