Average Elvis Film
Elvis plays Chad Gates, a man fresh out of the army that comes home to Hawaii. Chad does not want to work for his father but would rather "make it on his own" and took a job at his girlfriend's tourist travel business and naturally he's a singer as well.
The film is a little different because Elvis has only 1 girlfriend in this flick but he does have 2 other girls wanting his attention. One of the girls is an oversexed 14 year old that can't keep her hands off Chad/Elvis.
Angela Lansbury is way over the top with her "southern belle" accent and overly protective mother routine.
Few good songs: Blue Hawaii, Rock-a-Hula Baby, Can't Help Falling in Love and Hawaiian Wedding Song.
