Gulliver's Travels (1939)

Rotoscoped Gulliver Add An Eerie Layer

Fleischer Studios went bankrupt because of this film. The studios was penalized $350,000 for going over budget and Popeye cartoons had to be used to offset the loss. It's a shame because this is a decent film.

Gulliver is a rotoscoped character which works well against the animated toons but adds an eerie layer to the film.

Overall the film is an entertaining watch.

7/10
