A Tragic Tale
The film is known as 'Never Take Sweets from a Stranger' or 'Never Take Candy from a Stranger' and is a very tragic tale of two girls that took candy from a pedophile.
Peter and Sally moves into a new Canadian town with their young daughter Jean. Jean befriends Lucille (a girl around the same age) and the two of them take candy from Mr. Clarence Olderberry Sr. But Mr. Olderberry robs them of their innocence. Jean tells her mother and father what has happened and it is up to the Jean's parents to stop Mr. Olderberry in court from doing this again.
A very taboo subject in 1960 - still is to a degree today. Though the film is not graphic I still suggest watching with caution.
