It Started Out Good But Then...
I really don't know what to make of this film. The first 45 minutes was a good film - subtle horror! After the 45 minutes, the film turned into a corny camp. It was like they started out one direction, a good film that took itself seriously, then switched gears into a campy film. It was fun to watch the last half but so odd how the movie quickly changed! I do wish it would have been one style or the other from start to finish but I still kinda like the film.
The acting is so-so - the cinematography is super (in particular the beginning of the film) - good Gothic sets - a strange but oddly entertaining story.
If you happen upon the film - it's nothing grand but a decent fun watch.
