The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976)

Not Accurate But OK For A Horror Film

As far as a horror movie goes the film is okay - nothing special. Accuracy is minimal but it is LOOSELY based on a true story so with that in mind it doesn't claim to be accurate. The film does not even claim to be a biography of "The Phantom", so you can't rely on this film for the true story of what happened.

I know there are diehard fans of this film but I am not one of them. It's mainly a graphic movie that is just okay for a one time watch for me. I saw it as a teen and briefed over it recently in order to refresh for a review.

The true story of what really happened it a lot more interesting than this film, it's also a lot scarier too.

2/10
