I Like It - It's A Change Of Pace
We start off in an airplane full of people when one of the pilots sees an aurora. The plane is on autopilot when one of the pilots falls asleep along with 9 passengers. When they awaken, they find themselves trying to figure out where everyone went. Everyone else seems to have disappeared leaving behind all of their belongings. One of the survivors goes mad on the plane, Mr. Toomy but is quickly snapped out of it (sorta). When the plane finally lands they find themselves in what seems to be an abandoned airport and they cannot contact anyone. The food is spoiled, beverages are flat, matches won't light, no echo - something is majorly wrong. They figure out they have experienced a rip in time through the aurora. The young blind girl, Dinah Bellman, has super hearing and hears a snap-crackle-popping sound in the distance drawing near, Mr. Toomy is convinced it's The Langoliers! Time is literally running out for the group to figure out how to get out of there.
This one winds up being a lot of fun, an interesting mystery for first time viewers and a great re-watch for those that have already seen the film. It's a guilty pleasure film for me.
