Good Old-Fashioned Horror
The Ghoul is good old-fashioned style horror. We have a spooky old house, ancient superstitions and a "Ghoul". It's a fun movie - it has some quirky humor in it to add a little spice to the horror unfolding.
The only thing I found sorta missing from the film was one final scene with the police and the rest of the gang talking about what happened - like a final summary so that all characters (and even the viewer) have a clear explanation of what happened. It wasn't necessary but would have tidied up the ending - which I found ended just a little to abruptly. Otherwise, this is a good movie to watch for fans of older horror and mystery.
