Transcendence (2014)

Intelligent Futuristic Film

Well the idea behind this film is being talked about openly in the real world - not just in science fiction books and films. Will there ever be a singularity in the real world? Will real life humans transcend into something more? Only time has those answers but it is worth pondering and exploring the idea that this could become reality - this film touches on that.

Ray Kurzweil is just one man that believes transcendence could be the real life future of humankind. He is an American author, computer scientist, inventor and futurist. A man that I have listen to speak on video but I admit I've never read his books nor ever attended a lecture or conference by him. My point being: If you want to know more about real life transcendence then he's one starting point.

Could this film happen? Maybe - oh not just like the film but it is possible the singularity could really happen so this film is as intriguing as the real life discussions on the topic.

A love story - machines can't feel or have emotions, maybe one day they will but for now they are without them. This films speaks on that topic through a love story between a man and his wife.

8.5/10
