Of Mice and Men (1939)

Beautifully Made Film

I read "Of Mice and Men" in high school as well as saw this 1939 film version. I fell in love with both back then. It's been years since I've read the book or watched the film. Just recently I acquired a copy of this film - re-watched it and found the movie even better than I remembered it be - beautifully filmed, well acted, well directed, and a good version of Steinbeck's book.

If you've never read the book nor watched the film I won't give it away for you but it is a worthwhile film to watch - very sad, heartwarming and beautiful.

If you enjoyed this film I highly recommend  The Grapes of Wrath (1940) with Henry Fonda and John Carradine.

10/10
