The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938)

A Light-Hearted Fun Robin Hood Film

The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) is a light-hearted, colorful (expressive) version of the tale of Robin Hood. The swashbuckling battle scenes are fun and exciting. The actors are top-notch and the story/script is easy to follow, written well. There are humorous moments that will have you giggling like a kid again. It's a joy to watch!

Errol Flynn's great performance of Robin Hood puts me in the mind of Peter Pan. The way Flynn bounces with a spring in his step and the gleam in his eyes has a young at heart look and feel much like Peter Pan.

Although made in 1938, The Adventures of Robin Hood still has enough appeal that any fan of Robin Hood can enjoy no matter what their age is.

9/10
